Testimony

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share my love for God with you, and to let you know how my faith in God has changed my life.  Every morning I read my Bible so that I can receive knowledge about the word of God.  I like to read Thessalonians 5: 12-18, which lets me know that I am to be of service for God and His children. I believe with all my heart that Christians should live their life as an example for all people. I am truly thankful to Jesus for His love for me and for setting me free. There was a time, however, when my spirit was dead to sin.       Abuse of alcohol and other drugs had taken control over my life.  I tried everything I could to stop the abuse, but to no avail.   I tried  treatment but did not understand that God and nothing but God could keep me sober.   I was lost and had no hope for a better life. With no where to turn I called out to Jesus. I knew that Jesus had died for my sins and that He loved me so much that He would accept me as I am. So I prayed and I cried and I asked God to come into my life.   I know today that it was God who sent me to treatment and treatment sent me to God. Today I follow Christ and consider Him in everything I do. I know that through Jesus I have the victory over sin. I have peace, faith, and love for all the children of God. I am thankful to Christians Helping Drug Abusers for what this organization has done in my life. Today I know that the true meaning of life is being of service to others. There is no greater joy. Please take time out to say a prayer for men, women, and children who  suffer from alcohol and other drug abuse. May God bless you and those you love. Today has proved you put yourselves out by popping around go say hi, as Obie did today and what a blessing that was... (CHDA) has played a huge part of my life in fact saved my life. I truly believe without (CHDA) I'd be dead. I have struggled with bi polar addiction, and substance abuse for 19 yrs now..... I have  had a very rough time. I just wanted to personally "thank you",from the bottom of my heart for the messages. But I am definitely hindered in this other group because it is not Christ centered....Please keep up the amazing work, I was truly blessed by This web site. Finding Christians Helping Drug Abusers changed my world, took away the extreme loneliness and lack of fellowship. It is a wonderful ministry. Through (CHDA) God has been working in me encouraging me. Through (CHDA) I have made true friends.
